Mumbai, March 28 Veteran actor Piyush Mishra has shared his opinion on Ranveer Singh and Aditya Dhar's recent blockbuster, "Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge".
Applauding the film for its screenplay, Piyush said that there is a fine line between propaganda and cinema.
Addressing the media at the Delhi International Film Festival, he called "Dhurandhar" "actual cinema".
The actor, who starred in "Gulaal", was quoted as saying, "There is a fine line between propaganda and cinema, like Dhurandhar. I really liked Dhurandhar. It has a great screenplay. It's actually a good film. So, I really liked Dhurandhar. Therefore, you can't say that it's a propaganda film. It's a film."
Featuring Ranveer Singh, Sara Arjun, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Rakesh Bedi, R Madhavan, Gaurav Gera, and Manav Gohil in the lead roles, the sequel to the spy thriller "Dhurandhar" was released in cinemas on March 19.
Having made a huge impact at the box office, "Dhurandhar: The Revenge" has been receiving widespread praise from members of the entertainment industry.
Big names such as Rajinikanth, Allu Arjun, Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt, and Kartik Aaryan used social media to praise the spy action thriller.
Most recently, filmmaker Karan Johar revealed that "Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge" reminded him of the 70s classic Hindi cinema, which was enjoyed on single screens.
Reminiscing about the good old days, he wrote on the photo-sharing app, "I went back to the days when I watched pure, classic Hindi cinema on single screens in the 70s… and came out feeling satisfied and dreaming of being a part of this industry… today I am a part of this industry, and Dhurandhar reminded me of how proud and grateful I am to be here today… @adityadharfilms @officialjiostudios".
KJo further praised Aditya Dhar for his storytelling style, and also called Ranveer Singh's performance in "Dhurandhar" his best to date.
