KATHUA, FEBRUARY 25: The semi-final matches of the Open District Cricket Tournament were held at the Kathua Sports Stadium. The tournament, organized by the Kathua District Administration in collaboration with the Social Welfare Department under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, aims to promote youth engagement and create a drug-free society.
Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Sharma felicitated the winning teams and commended the players for their sportsmanship.
In the first semi-final, Sub-Division Hiranagar defeated Sub-Division Bani by successfully chasing 89 runs in 12.1 overs. In the second match, Sub-Division Billawar secured a 67-run victory over Sub-Division Basohli.
Senior officers, including ADC Kathua Vishavjeet Singh and other district officials, were present. The final match will be held at the same venue on February 26, 2026.
