Belagavi (Karnataka), April 11 A fire broke out at a hotel here on Saturday, causing panic among guests and staff, officials said.

The incident occurred at the hotel located on Club Road this afternoon, they said.

The fire is suspected to have been caused by a short circuit. As soon as smoke was noticed inside the premises, the hotel staff acted swiftly and evacuated all guests to safety.

According to officials, hotel employees made initial efforts to control the blaze before the arrival of fire and emergency services.

Upon receiving information, fire brigade personnel rushed to the spot and successfully brought the fire under control.

No casualties have been reported, and prompt action is said to have prevented any loss of life.

The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of the Camp Police Station, and further investigation is underway.
