
Hyderabad, February 26 A fire broke out at a shopping mall in the Jubilee Hills area here on Thursday, although no one was injured in the incident, police and fire department officials said.
The fire started around 11:20 AM in the building, which housed a saree showroom and other garment outlets, where renovation work was underway. Five workers who were inside were safely evacuated, they added.
Three fire tenders were deployed, and the fire was brought under control. Television visuals showed flames erupting and thick smoke billowing from the exterior of the building.
"The building was empty, and there was no material inside. The fire has been contained. No one was injured in the incident," a fire department official said.
The exact cause of the fire is currently under investigation, he said.
