A major fire broke out at the Longai Tea Garden in Sribhumi. The fire reportedly started on Saturday when a 11 KV high-voltage power line snapped in Section No. 2 of the garden.
The fire quickly spread over nearly 15 hectares of land. Firefighters rushed to the scene and brought the fire under control after sustained efforts. A large number of tea plants were damaged in the incident.
