
Thane, February 18 A fire broke out in a warehouse storing waste cloth in Thane district, Maharashtra, officials said on Wednesday.
There were no casualties reported in the fire, which occurred at 8:21 am on Tuesday at the warehouse located in the M K Compound area of Shilphata, Thane. Yasin Tadvi, chief of the disaster management cell of the Thane Municipal Corporation, said that no one was injured.
The nearly 700 sq ft warehouse was completely engulfed in flames, prompting fire and emergency services personnel to rush to the scene.
The fire was extinguished by 12:52 am on Wednesday, the official said.
"No one was injured in the incident. The situation is under control," he said, adding that the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
