
Mumbai, April 10 A man died in a fire at a residential building in the Kamathipura area of south Mumbai on Friday, a civic official said.
The fire, which started in the building located on 9th Lane near Shankar Mandir at 3:40 pm, was extinguished at 4:10 pm.
"An unidentified man in his early 30s was rescued from the fire and rushed to the state-run JJ Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival. The fire was contained to electrical wiring and installations, air-conditioning units, fans, clothes, and other household items," he said.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, the official said.
