
Gurugram, April 3 A fire broke out in the basement of a factory in Gurugram's Udyog Vihar on Friday, trapping five employees, including two women, officials said.
The rescue team safely rescued the trapped workers, and no injuries were reported in the incident, they said.
After receiving information, three fire engines were deployed, and the team controlled the fire within half an hour, rescuing the trapped people inside the factory, fire officer Ram Karan Sharma said.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, he added.
Around 11:45 am, the fire broke out in the basement of plot number 896 in Udyog Vihar Phase 1. The fire started in the basement, where employees were working, the officer said.
Many employees quickly evacuated, but five employees, including two women and three men, were trapped inside due to smoke, he said.
After controlling the fire, the team entered the basement to rescue the trapped workers, who were found semi-conscious and taken to the hospital, an official said.
