Thane, March 18 A major fire broke out on the seventh floor of a residential building in the Manpada area of Thane city on Wednesday evening, according to a civic official, who added that no one was reported injured in the incident.
The fire started in the Snowdrop Building, located within the Nilkanth Society, according to Disaster Management Cell chief Yasin Tadvi.
The cell received information about the fire at 7:16 pm.
Chief Fire Officer Girish Jhalke and personnel from the fire department rushed to the scene, and firefighting efforts were underway, Tadvi added.
The cause of the fire is still unknown.
