Phagwara, April 2 A man sitting in his car was shot at on the Phagwara-Jalandhar section of National Highway 44 on Thursday, with a gun fired from another car, police said.
Sukhwinder Kumar, also known as "Honey," escaped unharmed as he sped away, they said.
A resident of Kanshi Nagar in Phagwara, Sukhwinder, told reporters that he was driving when he was fired at near a hotel on the highway.
He alleged that certain individuals involved in a drug case filed against him last year were behind the shooting.
A case has been filed in connection with the shooting, and a police investigation has been launched.
