Saharanpur (UP), April 2 A man was arrested for allegedly opening fire outside a hotel after an argument over being asked to provide proof of identity in the Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh, an official said on Thursday.
The incident occurred on March 29 at a hotel along the highway under the jurisdiction of the Deoband police station. A group of individuals arrived at the hotel and requested a room, but when the staff asked them to present their identity documents, they refused and allegedly engaged in an argument with the employees, police said.
