Nine Injured in Sumo Accident at Amirabad Tral; Five Referred to Srinagar
Nine passengers were injured after a speeding sumo vehicle lost control near the Amirabad area of Tral on Tuesday morning. Critically injured passengers were transferred to Srinagar hospitals for advanced treatment.
Pulwama, March 10: Nine people were injured in a road accident in the Tral area after a speeding sumo vehicle went out of control near Amirabad on Tuesday morning.
According to reports, the vehicle lost control, resulting in injuries to all nine passengers. The injured were immediately taken to the Sub-District Hospital in Tral for initial treatment.
Dr. Jawhara, the Block Medical Officer of Tral, said that nine injured people were brought to the hospital following the accident at Amirabad. She stated that five of the injured, who sustained serious injuries, were referred to hospitals in Srinagar for specialized treatment.
Meanwhile, the Tral Police have taken cognizance of the incident and have registered a case. Further investigation has been initiated.
