New Delhi, April 7 The Great Eastern Shipping Company Limited (GE Shipping) announced on Tuesday that it has agreed to sell its 2003-built medium-range tanker, Jag Pankhi, to a third party.

In a statement, GE Shipping said the vessel, with a carrying capacity of 46,273 deadweight tonnes (DWT), will be delivered to the buyer in the first quarter of this financial year.

Including Jag Pankhi, GE Shipping said, the company's current owned fleet consists of 40 vessels, comprising 26 tankers (5 crude tankers, 17 product tankers, and 4 LPG carriers) and 14 dry bulk carriers (2 Capesize, 9 Kamsarmax, 1 Ultramax, and 2 Supramax), aggregating 3.20 million DWT.

Furthermore, the company stated that it has contracted to purchase a second-hand Kamsarmax dry bulk carrier and a second-hand medium-range tanker. It also agreed to sell its medium-range tanker, 'Jag Prakash'.

These transactions are expected to be completed in the first quarter of FY27, it added.
