Mumbai, April 3 Fly91, a regional carrier based in Goa, announced on Friday the launch of services to Rajahmundry, Vijayawada, and Hubballi, along with five new routes, as part of its gradual network expansion.
The new services will begin in phases between April 10 and April 17, Fly91 said in a statement.
As part of this expansion, the airline said it will operate double daily flights on the Hyderabad-Rajahmundry and Hyderabad-Vijayawada routes, while the Hyderabad-Hubballi and Hubballi-Bengaluru routes will have daily flights.
Furthermore, the airline said it will operate five weekly flights on the Hyderabad-Solapur route, in addition to increasing the frequency on the Goa-Solapur sector to six flights per week.
"We are expanding our network to 12 cities with the addition of Rajahmundry, Vijayawada, and Hubballi. Tier-2 and tier-3 cities are emerging as powerful drivers of India's economic growth, entrepreneurship, and domestic travel demand. Our expansion is aligned with this momentum," said Manoj Chacko, Managing Director and CEO of FLY91.
This latest expansion will add close to 30,000 seats per month to the airline's regional network, Fly91 said, adding that it is also set to add Indore, Nanded, and Mangalore in the coming weeks.
The addition of these three new destinations is expected to further stimulate regional economic activity by improving access to key commercial, industrial, and educational centres, the airline said.
Earlier this year, Fly91 commenced daily operations on the Kochi-Agatti route, enhancing connectivity to Lakshadweep.
With these additions, Fly91 will expand its network from nine to 12 destinations, including Goa (Manohar International Airport, Mopa), Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Solapur, Jalgaon, Sindhudurg, Kochi, and Agatti.
