Kathmandu, March 3 Nepal's Ministry of Foreign Affairs launched a portal on Tuesday to collect information about Nepalese citizens currently in the United Arab Emirates and to take necessary steps for their rescue, amid the ongoing conflict in the Gulf region.
The ministry has issued a notice asking Nepalese citizens to register their names on the portal if they are stranded at the UAE airport while in transit, if their visa has expired, or if they have already booked a flight to return to Nepal.
The Nepalese Embassy in Abu Dhabi has also requested stranded Nepalese citizens who wish to be rescued to fill out their details on the portal.
