
A special training session on forest fire prevention and control was organized by the Forest Department in collaboration with the Fire and Emergency Services in the Nowshera Forest Division of the Rajouri district.
The program aimed to educate forest personnel on preventive measures, early response strategies, and safe techniques for controlling forest fires. Experts from Dehradun participated in the session and provided hands-on training to the staff.
The Conservator of Forests, Rajouri, Sat Pal, attended the event as the chief guest. Addressing the participants, he emphasized the importance of preparedness, coordination, and adherence to safety protocols when dealing with fire incidents in forest areas.
A live demonstration was also conducted during the session, illustrating how personnel should protect themselves while combating forest fires and effectively manage emergency situations.
A large number of Forest Guards and other departmental employees attended the training program, reinforcing the department's commitment to safeguarding forest resources and enhancing the capacity of frontline staff to respond to fire emergencies.
