
Patna, April 6 The ruling BJP in Bihar celebrated its 47th foundation day on Monday, with party workers distributing 47 kg of ladoos and lighting 47 lamps at the office.
Senior leaders and party workers also paid tributes to ideologues Deendayal Upadhyaya and Syama Prasad Mookerjee by garlanded their portraits.
State BJP president Sanjay Saraogi said the BJP has grown into the "world's largest political party" through the dedication and hard work of its workers.
"BJP workers move forward with a single mission guided by the principle of 'nation first'," he said.
Saraogi said the party's working style is inclusive and welfare-oriented, and described the BJP as an organization committed to nation-building and public welfare.
He urged party workers to strengthen the organization at the booth level and spread the party's development agenda among voters.
Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary said the BJP has emerged as a strong force due to the dedication and sacrifices of its founders.
He said the party reached new heights under former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and that under PM Narendra Modi's leadership, the country is progressing towards becoming a developed and self-reliant nation.
"With the resolve of 'Antyodaya to Rashtra Uday', the organization is working to ensure development reaches the last person. The BJP's journey is not about power but about ideology and values," he said.
Choudhary also said the BJP fulfilled the long-pending demand for the construction of a Ram temple.
Industries Minister Dilip Jaiswal said party workers are guided by the values of service, dedication and good governance.
He said he hoisted the party flag at the BJP’s Patna rural office as part of the foundation day celebrations.
