March 15, New Delhi: India's young boxers continued their impressive performance at the 2026 World Boxing Futures Cup in Bangkok, with Chandrika, Gunjan, Joyshree Devi, and Ambekar Meetei advancing to the finals after convincing semi-final victories.
Chandrika delivered a strong performance to defeat Morocco's Rihab Hamdoune. Gunjan also secured a dominant win over North Korea's Yu Gyong Kim.
Joyshree Devi and Ambekar Meetei also progressed to the finals with commanding wins in their respective categories. With four Indian boxers now in the finals, the Indian team will aim to convert their strong performances into gold medals as the tournament approaches its final stage.
