Thomas Ramos kicked a last-gasp penalty to secure the win in a tense final. Louis Bielle-Biarrey shone with a four-try performance, as France finished with 21 points, two ahead of Ireland, who defeated third-placed Scotland.
Despite scoring seven tries and over 40 points on French soil for the first time, England finished fifth. France now have a total of eight Six Nations titles, surpassing England by one, and leading Ireland and Wales by two.
