Frequent Flyer Changes: Air India Updates Maharaja Club.webp

New Delhi, April 1 Air India has revised its frequent flyer program, which has approximately 1 crore members, offering more flexibility and reduced point requirements for cabin upgrades.

The loss-making airline, which is currently undergoing a significant transformation, is facing several challenges due to the conflict in West Asia, which has led to higher fuel prices and increased the duration of many of its international flights due to airspace restrictions in the region.

On Wednesday, the airline announced significant enhancements to its Maharaja Club loyalty program, including reduced Maharaja points requirements for award flights and cabin upgrades.

The airline also stated that the program will feature a simplified, tier-based structure for rescheduling and cancellation of award flights, as well as extending travel privileges to companions traveling with members.
