Mumbai, February 17: Actress Anu Aggarwal, known for her role in the film "Aashiqui," used her social media account to share her perspective on the significance of Mahashivaratri, while also wishing everyone a Happy Valentine's Day.

Sharing a few selfies on her social media account, Anu wrote, "Valentine's Day celebrates love.

Mahashivaratri dissolves it.

What remains when devotion burns and ego rests?

Presence.

Meditation is not an escape.

It's about maintaining inner peace.

Like updating your inner software—remove negativity, cultivate awareness.

Love is not just about a person.

It's a state of being.

Still, alert, and unconcerned.

Shiva teaches: destroy what is false.

Shakti whispers: build from truth.

I'm not seeking attention.

I'm grounded.

Present—but from a deeper place.

The actress, who gained fame in the 90s with her superhit movie "Aashiqui," went on to become a prominent figure in Bollywood.

Anu had recently spoken about her life and career during an exclusive interview with IANS.

During the interview, she was asked if she still stays in touch with Mahesh Bhatt and other colleagues from the industry, "Yes, I still have close relationships with many people. As I always say, an old friend is just a phone call away."

When asked about her response to criticism regarding her recent photo taken in New York, Anu Aggarwal stated, "Why are we so against controversy? Controversy is a part of life. So, like appreciation, controversy is also equally a part of one's life. It's okay, everyone has the right to their own opinions, and sometimes, when people start succeeding too quickly, others may become jealous and try to create controversy to bring you down. If you read about Buddha, he faced similar situations a lot. When he became a Buddha, people would accuse him of various things."

Finally, the actress was asked about her interest in working with younger actors, "Yes, I believe there are many talented actors, both male and female, today who are doing excellent work. I will elaborate further on this topic as I delve deeper."
