Los Angeles, February 24 – Hollywood actor Chris Hemsworth has revealed why he gave up on laser sessions to remove one of his tattoos.
The actor said that he stopped the laser sessions after his daughter, India, complained, according to ‘Female First UK’ reports.
The ‘Thor’ star, 42, revealed that he got an image from Dr. Seuss’s book, “Oh, the Places You’ll Go!”, inked on his arm in tribute to 13-year-old India, as he used to read it to her a lot. However, he grew tired of it and booked a course of laser treatment to have the tattoo removed, but he gave up after just one session because India wasn’t happy about having it.
During an appearance on the SmartLess podcast, he explained, “I have a Dr. Seuss tattoo. My daughter, I used to read that book to her a lot, and my mother read it to me, “Oh, the Places You’ll Go!”. And she would just draw that little character and loved it so much, so I got that tattoo. And then a few years later, I thought, ‘Ah, I’m kind of tired of it’. So I started getting it removed. I did just one laser session, and then one day, she came home and said, ‘It’s fading. What happened to it? It’s fading’. And I was like, ‘You’re not tired of it?’ And she said, ‘No, I love it’. So now it’s kind of half faded. But it’s still there”.
According to ‘Female First UK’, Chris went on to explain that he has more tattoos on his arm, which were drawn by India herself after she interrupted a late-night brainstorming session with his tattoo artist.
The actor added, “There are actually a bunch on my arm, little drawings that she did. I was sitting with a tattoo artist one night, and it was around 10 pm, and we were designing all sorts of things, like geometry and trippy-looking stuff. My daughter walked out and said, ‘Dad, I can’t sleep, you’re making too much noise’. And I said, ‘Sorry, sorry’. And she sat down and started drawing, and she drew these three little images here, one of which, the guy next to me said, ‘That’s the Wheel of Dharma, eight steps to enlightenment’. So she drew that. It’s like an eight-pointed star. He looked at me and said, ‘I think they’re way cooler than anything we’re designing’, so I took a photo of it. And that’s it. I have a bunch of other kinds of squiggles”.
However, Chris confessed that he always gets “tired” of his tattoos after getting them, adding, “The problem is, I get tired of them. I’m into them for a few weeks, and then I want to get them all removed. The ones my kids got have some kind of meaning. But I have some other ones that are like weird, kind of psycho-geometry designs that look like Illuminati-type things. They’re weird”.
