
March 27, New Delhi: India's External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar participated in the G7 Foreign Ministers' Meeting in Paris, where he highlighted key global challenges and India's priorities regarding governance reforms and economic resilience.
Addressing sessions with partner countries, Minister Jaishankar emphasized the urgent need for UN Security Council reforms, more efficient peacekeeping, and stronger humanitarian supply chains, while also raising concerns from the Global South regarding energy, food, and fertilizer security.
He also underlined the importance of resilient trade corridors, including the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor, amid ongoing conflicts in West Asia. The minister further emphasized the importance of freedom of navigation, highlighted threats from narco-terrorism linkages, and welcomed deeper cooperation on critical minerals to strengthen global supply chains.
