March 30, New Delhi – Ministers from the G7 will hold talks on Monday to examine the economic consequences of the war in West Asia.

The supply squeeze has driven up the prices of oil and natural gas, leading to significant ripple effects across supply chains in multiple industries.

French Finance Minister Roland Lescure said the G7 meeting, to be held via video conference, will include energy and finance ministers, as well as heads of central banks and other international agencies.

The G7, an informal grouping of the United States, Canada, Britain, France, Germany, Italy, and Japan, plays a key role in shaping policy debates among the world's wealthiest nations.

The United States has sought support from the group to help halt Iran's blockade of the Strait of Hormuz shipping route.
