Itanagar, April 9 Arunachal Pradesh Governor K T Parnaik met with Lieutenant General Neeraj Shukla, the General Officer Commanding of the Gajraj Corps, in Tawang and emphasized the importance of maintaining a strong relationship between the armed forces and local communities in the northeastern state.

He assured Lt Gen Shukla that the civil administration would readily provide any support required by the Army.

During the Wednesday meeting, Parnaik also highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts under the Vibrant Village Programme, particularly in strengthening infrastructure and improving the quality of life in remote border areas.

Lt Gen Shukla, who assumed command of the Gajraj Corps on April 1, reaffirmed his commitment to fostering goodwill and deepening engagement with the locals, while maintaining the highest standards of operational readiness.
