Kozhikode (Kerala), March 25 Congress leader Rahul Gandhi alleged on Wednesday that the BJP and the LDF in Kerala were colluding, as central agencies have not taken any action against Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, unlike other opposition leaders in the country.
He said that only two parties – the UDF and the BJP-LDF alliance – were contesting the Kerala Assembly elections.
Speaking online at a public event in Kozhikode Beach, Rahul said that the policies of the LDF in Kerala were indistinguishable from those of the BJP.
He claimed that both parties also do not believe they are accountable to the people of Kerala.
The Congress leader questioned why central agencies had not taken action against Vijayan, given that opposition leaders across the country who challenge the BJP are being attacked and cases are being filed against them.
"Why are the corruption cases against the CM not progressing? This is the best evidence of collusion between the BJP and the LDF," he alleged.
He also accused the Left government of making Kerala number one in drug cases instead of making it a leader in employment or technology.
