Shimla, March 20 Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, visited the state capital on Friday, officials said.
Gandhi, who was on a personal visit, arrived in the afternoon and headed for his sister Priyanka Gandhi's house in Charabra, which is located about 12 kilometers from Shimla.
He is expected to stay there for the next few days, they said.
In view of Gandhi's visit, the police have deployed additional forces in the area to ensure his security.
