Latehar, March 11 Jharkhand Police recovered 92 kg of marijuana worth over Rs 60 lakh from a car that was involved in an accident in the Latehar district on Wednesday, officials said.
The seizure took place near Sikni, within the Chandwa police station limits, when the car collided with an auto-rickshaw travelling from Palamu to Ranchi, they said.
"We have recovered 92 kg of marijuana, wrapped in 87 packets, from the car. Raids are being conducted to apprehend the absconding driver and the owner of the car," said Chandwa Officer in Charge Ranjeet Kumar.
The police have seized the car, and further investigations are underway, the OC said.
