Gas Depot Chaos: Customers Protest False Delivery Messages.webp

Nagpur, April 8 Several customers created a commotion at a gas depot in the Nara area of Nagpur city after receiving false delivery messages on Wednesday.

Police said that around 25 to 30 customers received SMS alerts claiming that their LPG cylinders had been delivered. However, the customers stated that they had not received any cylinders. Angered by this, they gathered at the gas depot near the Nara crematorium and confronted the owner.

The situation became tense for some time as customers demanded immediate delivery. Upon receiving information, a team from the Jaripatka police station rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.

After talking with the depot owner, the police ensured that cylinders were distributed to customers based on availability. The process was carried out under police supervision.

The police also denied rumors that the depot had been looted and appealed to citizens not to spread false information.
