Mumbai, March 24 A gas pipeline leak was reported inside the premises of the Sion Hospital, a hospital run by the local civic body, in Central Mumbai late on Tuesday night, officials said.
According to information received from the Mumbai Fire Brigade, the incident occurred near Gate No. 1, close to the college building within the hospital campus, around 11 pm.
The leak occurred in a pipeline belonging to Mahanagar Gas Ltd (MGL), prompting an immediate response from emergency services. At least four fire engines and other firefighting vehicles were dispatched to the scene, the official added.
In addition to the fire brigade, police and MGL personnel were rushed to the scene to manage the situation and ensure safety in the area.
