A training-cum-workshop on "Gender Sensitization" was organized today by the Department of Agriculture under the Jammu and Kashmir Climate and Inclusive Partnership Programme at College Ground in Poonch. The program aimed to empower women farmers and promote their active involvement in modern agricultural practices.

Speaking on the occasion, Jog Raj Singh Salathia said that the initiative was organized to raise awareness among women about new farming techniques and to strengthen their role in the agriculture sector. He highlighted that women play an important role in farming and related activities, and such programs help enhance their knowledge and skills.

During the workshop, experts discussed modern farming methods, improved crop management, and the importance of women's participation in agricultural decision-making. Information about various government schemes and opportunities available for women farmers was also shared.

A large number of women farmers participated in the program and interacted with experts, showing keen interest in adopting improved agricultural practices to enhance productivity and livelihoods.
