Mumbai, March 20 Actress Genelia Deshmukh revisited her past as she shared one of the songs from her old South Indian movies on social media.
The actress, known for her role in "Sitare Zameen Par", revealed that whenever she posts one of her old songs and sees it trending, she experiences a strong wave of nostalgia.
However, she added that some feelings are more profound than just trends, as they last a lifetime.
"Every time I share my older South Indian songs, it's just pure nostalgia, and seeing them trending makes me realize that some films and sentiments are beyond trends – they just last forever," Genelia wrote.
The actress, known for "Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na", posted photos of herself in a stunning ethnic outfit and used the "Nallka Nallani" track from her 2004 movie "Sye" as the background music.
The song, composed by M.M. Keeravani and featuring vocals by K. S. Chithra, was directed by S. S. Rajamouli.
The film, starring Nithin, Genelia, Shashank, and Pradeep Rawat, along with others, is set against the backdrop of rugby and revolves around two rival student groups in a college – one from the Science stream and the other from the Arts stream. Both groups are forced to come together when a local gangster takes control of their university.
Genelia began her acting career with the Hindi film "Tujhe Meri Kasam" in 2003. She gained recognition with the Tamil film "Boys" the same year.
In addition to her roles in notable Bollywood films like "Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na", "Masti", and "Force", she has also worked on several South Indian projects, including "Bommarillu" and "Satyam".
