New Delhi, April 8 When David Miller declined Prasidh Krishna's final delivery of the 20th over, which would have tied the score between Delhi Capitals and Gujarat Titans, Shubman Gill felt that they now had a chance to win, which had seemed unlikely at that point.
With Miller missing Prasidh's slower ball and Jos Buttler's throw beating a diving Kuldeep Yadav, Gujarat Titans recorded their first win of the season, defeating Delhi Capitals by one run on Wednesday.
"Definitely, all three matches we played went down to the last over, and I'm pleased that we managed to win," Gill said after the match.
Regarding the choice of the final delivery, Gill felt that a bowler who could bowl slower balls was the perfect choice, given the nature of the pitch.
"We decided whether to go for a yorker or a slower ball, but given the wicket, a slower ball would be difficult to hit," he said.
Gill felt that a total of 210 on this Kotla track was a good score.
"210 on this wicket was 10-15 runs above par, and if we bowl well, we can win," he said.
