Giridih, March 6 One person was killed by stabbing, while three others were injured with sharp objects due to the playing of loud music in Giridih district of Jharkhand, police said on Friday.
The incident took place at Das Mohalla, under the jurisdiction of the town police station, on Thursday night.
Ratan Kumar Singh, in-charge of the town police station, said, "A case has been registered against seven individuals in this matter. All of them have been on the run since last night."
Singh said the incident occurred between two neighbors. One neighbor had objected to the loud music at night.
"The neighbor asked them to stop the music as the Holi festival was over and to allow them to sleep. This led to a scuffle between the two neighbors, in which one person was killed, and three others were injured. The injured were admitted to the hospital," he said.
The deceased has been identified as Ajay Das.
Meanwhile, Jharkhand Minister Sudivya Kumar met the injured at Sadar hospital in Giridih.
The minister said he has directed the sub-divisional officer to investigate the matter.
