Goa Fire: Owners Face Legal Trouble - Bail Granted, Other Charges Pending.webp

Panaji, April 1 A sessions court in Mapusa, Goa, granted bail to Saurabh Luthra and Gaurav Luthra, the owners of the Birch by Romeo Lane nightclub, in a case related to the devastating fire that occurred last December, which resulted in the death of 25 people.

However, the Luthras will remain in jail as they are also implicated in another case.

Hours after a fire broke out at the club located in the Arpora village on December 6, 2025, the brothers fled to Thailand, from where they were deported to India on December 17 and arrested by the Anjuna Police.

It was alleged that the nightclub lacked the necessary permits and violated several safety regulations.

Advocate Parag Rao, their lawyer, said that additional sessions judge Dvijple Patkar granted bail to both brothers in the fire case.

The brothers were taken into custody by the Mapusa Police on Monday in an alleged case of forgery. Despite being granted bail in the fire case, they will continue to remain in prison in the second case.
