The administration in Goalpara has begun preparations for the upcoming Assembly elections. The district has a total of 1,010 polling stations.
District Commissioner and District Election Officer, Pradeep Timung, along with other election officials, inspected the polling stations located along the Assam-Meghalaya border. The team reviewed security arrangements, accommodation, drinking water, electricity, and other essential facilities.
