Goalpara Administration intensifies election preparations
Preparations for the upcoming Assembly elections are progressing steadily in the Goalpara district, Assam. The district administration has increased its efforts to ensure the smooth conduct of the polls.
Out of the total 1,010 polling stations in the district, 48 are located in remote, riverine areas. Of these, 11 fall under the Goalpara East Assembly constituency, and 37 under the Jaleshwar Assembly constituency.
District Commissioner and District Election Officer Pradeep Timung, along with other officials, inspected 11 polling stations in the riverine areas and reviewed various logistical and security aspects.
