
Amaravati, March 17 General Officer Commanding (GOC) of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Sub Area, Major General Ajay Misra, called on Governor S Abdul Nazeer here on Tuesday.
Misra's visit aimed at promoting military-civil fusion and enhancing synergy between the state and the Indian Army in key areas, according to an official release from the Eastern Naval Command (ENC).
The GOC met the Governor and discussed initiatives for nation-building, community development, disaster management, and security-related matters.
Misra also met Andhra Pradesh Industries Minister TG Bharat to discuss support and mentorship for strengthening the defence industrial ecosystem in the southern state.
Similarly, the GOC held discussions with Director General of Police (DGP) Harish Kumar Gupta on security matters and reviewed issues related to the welfare of ex-servicemen.
Later, Misra paid a courtesy call on Chief Secretary G Sai Prasad at the state secretariat and discussed allocation of land for Army-related units and other issues in the state.
The interactions focused on strengthening cooperation and institutional coordination between military and civil authorities in the state, it added.
