Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi addressed a large public rally in the Golaghat district of Assam.
In his speech, Gandhi made several key promises. He stated that if the Congress forms the government, Zubeen Garg would receive justice within 100 days. He also announced financial assistance of ₹50,000 for women.
He further urged voters in Golaghat, Khumtai, Dergaon, Sarupathar, and Bokakhat constituencies to support and elect candidates from the opposition alliance.
Gaurav Gogoi, President of the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC), was also present at the rally.
Earlier in the day, Rahul Gandhi also participated in an election campaign in Biswanath Chariali. He campaigned in support of Congress candidate Jayanta Borah, addressing party workers and supporters at a public meeting.
