The annual Barpeta Doul Festival was inaugurated yesterday with the traditional Gondh Yatra ceremony at the historic Barpeta Satra.
As part of the ritual, the customary fireworks of Barpeta were lit, attracting thousands of devotees and visitors to the Satra to witness the grand celebration.
