
Amaravati, April 3 Andhra Pradesh Governor S Abdul Nazeer and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu extended their greetings to the Christian community in the state on Good Friday.
The Governor stated that Good Friday signifies the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of humanity's sins and the promise of salvation.
"I extend my greetings to all Christian brothers and sisters on the occasion of Good Friday," Nazeer said in an official press release from Lok Bhavan.
Jesus Christ's life symbolizes great love for humanity and stands as a beacon of hope and salvation, he added.
The Chief Minister said that Good Friday is a sacred occasion for reflection.
"On the occasion of Good Friday, let us remember the sacrifices of Jesus Christ," Naidu said in a post on X.
The teachings of Jesus Christ remain relevant, and his message of love, sacrifice, and faith should inspire everyone, he added.
YSRCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy said Good Friday calls for reflection and renewal of values, guided by Jesus Christ's teachings of love and compassion.
"Christ's crucifixion stands as the ultimate example of love, compassion, and sacrifice," Jagan said in a post on X.
