Thane, April 3 Christians in Thane city commemorated Good Friday with devotion and solemnity, participating in processions, prayers, and enactments depicting the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, according to church officials.
Members of the Our Lady of Mercy Church on Pokhran Road No. 2 staged a re-enactment of the crucifixion, starting from Little Flower School and proceeding through the neighborhood, while a special mass and prayer session titled "The Eucharist: Love Poured Out in Service" was held at St. John the Baptist Church.
Church authorities said that the observances were carried out peacefully, with devotees coming together in large numbers to mark the occasion with faith and reverence.
