
Kolkata, April 5 Goutam Deb, the Trinamool Congress candidate for the Siliguri assembly constituency, declared movable and immovable assets worth over Rs 4.52 crore, and stated that there are no pending criminal cases against him.
The Siliguri mayor, in his affidavit submitted with his nomination to the Election Commission, stated that he has movable assets worth Rs 1.58 crore, and immovable assets, including a three-story building, with a current market value of Rs 2.94 crore.
The TMC leader stated that there are no pending criminal cases against him and that he has never been convicted in any criminal case.
According to his income tax returns, Deb's annual income in the financial year 2024-25 was Rs 18.02 lakh, while in the 2023-24 fiscal, it stood at Rs 15.32 lakh.
The TMC leader stated that he has Rs 1.03 lakh in cash, while his spouse has Rs 30,000.
Deb has been nominated by the TMC from Siliguri for this assembly election, after he lost in the Dabgram-Fulbari seat in 2021.
A Bachelor of Law (LLB) degree holder, Deb stated that his sources of income are legal consultancy, pension as a former MLA, rental income, and bank interest.
