Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat met with Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri today to discuss the current commercial LPG situation and its impact on the hospitality and tourism sector. In a social media post, Mr. Shekhawat stated that 20% of the average monthly commercial LPG requirement will begin to be allocated to businesses starting today. The Minister said that additional supply measures are being developed to support hotels and restaurants. He added that the government is closely coordinating between the Ministries of Petroleum and Tourism, along with industry stakeholders, to monitor the situation and address concerns. Mr. Shekhawat commented that the current situation is part of a broader global disruption caused by the ongoing war. He also reiterated the government's commitment to protecting consumer interests and supporting the hospitality and tourism ecosystem.
