March 13, New Delhi – India's Minister for Culture and Tourism, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, held a meeting with Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri and senior officials from the Ministry of Petroleum to discuss the impact of the conflict in West Asia on domestic commercial LPG supply and its effect on the hospitality and tourism sector.

The government has initiated immediate measures to address the situation. The minister stated that starting today, 20% of the average monthly commercial LPG requirement will be allocated to businesses.

Furthermore, additional supply measures are being developed to support hotels and restaurants. The Ministries of Petroleum and Tourism are also maintaining close coordination with industry stakeholders to monitor the situation and address concerns.
