
New Delhi, March 30 The government has approved 29 applications under the electronics component manufacturing scheme, involving a total investment of Rs 7,104 crore, a senior official from the Ministry of Electronics and IT said on Monday.
Secretary of the Ministry of Electronics and IT (Meity), S Krishnan, said the new investment proposal will create up to 14,246 new jobs in the sector.
The new applications will lead to the production of electronic components worth Rs 84,515 crore, he said.
With this new set of approvals, Meity has approved a total of 75 applications.
