
New Delhi, March 12 Amid the ongoing crisis in West Asia, the government announced on Thursday that an additional 40,000 kilolitres of kerosene has been allocated to states as an alternative fuel to LPG.
Sujata Sharma, a Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, stated that more commercial LPG cylinders will be made available to beneficiaries identified by state governments.
However, she added that the situation regarding crude oil supply in the country is comfortable, and there have been no shortages at any of the 1 lakh petrol pumps.
