Minister of State for Rural Development, Dr. Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani, stated today that this year's Union Budget has laid a strong foundation for strengthening agriculture and related sectors, with a clear focus on productivity, value addition, and farmer prosperity. Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's address during the Budget webinar on Agriculture and Rural Prosperity, Dr. Pemmasani noted that the government remains committed to expanding opportunities across the sector and advancing the vision of a developed India.
The Minister also said that the Prime Minister's focus on export-oriented agriculture, leveraging India's diverse agro-climatic strengths, and focusing on quality, value addition, and global competitiveness will unlock new opportunities for our farmers and agri-entrepreneurs while strengthening India's agricultural economy.
