The Department of Labour, Employment & Skill Development, Government of Meghalaya, organized a placement drive in Khliehriat on Thursday to provide employment opportunities to job seekers in the region.
The program was organized by the District Employment Exchange, Khliehriat, and saw participation from a large number of aspiring candidates seeking jobs in various sectors.
The placement drive, which took place from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, aimed to bridge the gap between employers and job seekers by providing a platform for direct interaction, interviews, and recruitment.
Officials stated that such initiatives are part of the government's ongoing efforts to improve employment prospects, promote skill development, and empower the youth of the state.
The event also highlighted the importance of skill-based training and career guidance in improving the employability of young people.
