The Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Rajouri, under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, organized a One-Day Integrated Communication and Outreach Programme (ICOP) at the Government Industrial Training Institute, Nowshera.
The programme focused on key government initiatives, including the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana, the National Livestock Mission, and the Viksit Bharat Guarantee for Rozgaar & Aajivika Mission (Gramin). Key highlights included expert lectures, a drawing competition, an open quiz, the distribution of the New India Samachar magazine, and cultural performances.
Niyaz Ahmed, Superintendent of the ITI, spoke on the objectives of Skill India, stating that the scheme aims to transform young people from job seekers to job providers through professional training, certification, placement assistance, and entrepreneurship support. He praised CBC Rajouri's outreach efforts.
Dr. Dalbir Singh, Assistant Veterinary Surgeon from the Sheep Husbandry Department, elaborated on schemes under the National Livestock Mission, highlighting opportunities in sheep, goat, and poultry farming, fodder cultivation, and entrepreneurship, along with subsidy provisions and online portals for beneficiaries.
Vijay Mattoo, In-charge of CBC Rajouri, provided an overview of the ICOP and reiterated the government's commitment to making India self-reliant and developed by 2047 through various centrally sponsored schemes. Amrik Singh from the Rural Development Department spoke on the enhanced provisions under the rural employment framework, including increased working days and strengthened administrative capacity.
The programme concluded with prize distribution and a vote of thanks by Swati Sharma.
